Company history
Upon returning to the States, James met the owner of 1 Way Inc., the largest pressure washing company in San Diego County, and began working for them; while with 1 Way he was trained to clean fast-food restaurants, apartment complexes, homes, parking garages, and nearly everything in between. James will tell you that everything he learned, he learned from 1 Way Inc. and its owner, Robert Cross. After supervising for over a year with 1 Way, James and his family moved to Tucson to start their own pressure washing companty; thus, Marathon Pressure Systems was born! Since 2004 James has been creating a successful business and helping many other local businesses, property managers, resorts, hotels, restaurants, and home owners maintain a clean property. He has found that the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment can easily be translated into honesty, tenacity, and integrity when working with his own business.; this has helped him build Marathon while creating satisfied customers! Marathon Pressure Systems was started by Owner James C Swinarton in 2004. He first discovered the pressure washing industry after he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps, not long after returning home from the Iraq Invasion. While in the Marine Corps, James earned "Regimental Marine of the Quarter" and was meritoriously promoted to Corporal. By February of 2003, he had been promoted to Sergeant and was on his way to Iraq with his unit, the Fifth Marine Regiment, First Marine Division. While the decision to be honorably discharged from the Corps was a difficult one, James looks back on his service with pride and fondness; he insists that the brotherhood of the Corps runs deeper than any other he's ever experienced.
